Cleaning Tips
Below are some cleaning tips we feel will help your family maintain a beautiful home in-between cleanings:
Did you know...
Fact: The average 6 room home in the U.S. collects 40 pounds of dust each year.

Fact: An estimated 6 million Americans are allergic to cats and approximately one third of them have cats in their home.

1. Spread out the cleaning of your home over a week. For example, clean the kitchen one day, upstairs bathrooms day two, vacuum and dust day three, clean the Master Bedroom and bath day four and catch up on the laundry on day five. Enjoy the clean house over the weekend!  Work from the top-down and left-right within a room. Always clean the floors last!

2. Less is more with soaps and cleansers. Often too much of a cleaning agent is used, leaving a film and residue on a surface. Also, beware of store-bought cleaners; protect your home surfaces with reputable cleaning products or follow manufacturer recommendations.
3. Crayola has great tips for removing your toddler's artwork from just about any surface. http://www.crayola.com/canwehelp/staintips/stain.cfm
4. Wash your cleaning towels separate from the rest of your laundry and wash in hot water. Do not use bleach or softener when laundering cleaning towels. 100% cotton towels are great...my new favorite is a quality Microfiber towel. Buy several different colors and strictly use them for the same task each time....windows or polishing furniture.
